Jesu Amazing Comeback With "Everyday I Get Closer To The Light From Which I Came"
'Jesu Comeback With Soulgazing Post-Rock'ish Sounds'
Jesu Beautifully Comeback
Tracklist: 1. Homesick
4. The Great Leveller
5. Grey Is The Colour
The album will be released on 23 September 2013 Via Avalanche Recordings, Magnificent comeback, Godflesh main man Justin K. Broadrick completely making this album into my personal favorite lovable Everyday music Album, somehow it's reminded me of Anathema, don't know why. But after Jesu"Ascension" where in that album the full Post-Metal term was affliated so much, I got so tired. Then after I heard Jesu new Album "Every Day I Get Closer To The Light From Which I Came In" I was staggered. I love it, so much, It completely wins over me after I heard the Album. Completely I thought it was just another hard pounding music to the ear. But no, Jesu resides that, and tries to create more than just a simple music.
The new album feature's Dub, Electronic, and Post Punk in it, which is making it more colourful, Just listen to one of it's samples "Homesick" It was like always i said, mostly Excellent. It brings you joyous feeling in some kind of midst of weather, lies beneath a thick rugged guitar was tuned along. While in the 2nd "Comforter" track feature's Electronic kinda like Sigur Ros'ish which making me loving this album much more. It is so calm, and then turns into kinda like Battle themed war stories.Shining armor and Heroes risen from the ashes. This track really does have a mean, to comfort, and yes! it does comfort me along hearing this track. Well I found out in Fact Mag he album’s fourth track, the 17-minute ‘The Great Leveller’, is the only one to feature a player besides Broadrick – Nicola Manzan commands a one-person orchestra of strings. According to the album’s press release, “the song lyrically deals with the existential drain that is early parenthood, since Justin became a father for the first time just before beginning work on this LP” But I Still love it, I Adore that themed song. It welcomes me so much in my head. I Love it those atmospheric kinda like sad song. I was kinda soft person for this kinda song. and suddenly just fell in love with it. Overall through all the track I was more in love in this album than my love for my passion in sleeping. I'm giving this album a 4.5/5 , 'Grey is The Colour' Was a magnificent 4-Minute track, It's my favorite though besides the first track of the album.
A STORM OF LIGHT - NATIONS TO FLAMES
A STORM OF LIGHT : "Nations To Flames
"A Flame Grilling Metal Indeed"
Yes, yes, I'm so happy. Okay, As you know Josh Graham(Neurosis Visual Collaborator) fronted Doom/Post-Metal/Heavy Metal is back. Pouring some sweat blooded fire reign upon you're ghastly looking ears. And I mean they're really kicking asses right now, these guys really put their back into it. In this album the Guys really prepared for a full scaled Heavy Grim Like Metal, it's like getting your head bashed into a Concrete steel. Anyway let's crack on to the album shall we.
"Nations To Flames" Was released via Southern Lord Recordings, Whom we know owned by the notorius Goatsnake Guitarist Mr. Greg Anderson, Nations To Flames was recorded with Travis Kammeyer (OCOAI, Generation Of Vipers) at Fahrenheit Studios in Johnson City, Tennessee, mixed with Matt Bayles (Isis, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Botch, Mastodon) at Red Room Recording in Seattle, Washington and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon. What a line up of people who are working with ASOL in this album, 11-track opusincludes Soundgraden’s Kim Thayil and Indian/Nachtmystium’s Will Lindsay on select tracks. My god What can you get more from this album. Okay let's see
The track starts off with "Fall" Heavy Metal Opera was really took it's toll, one of the most favorite track for my prespective, Rage, power, And Riffage Does Prevail. Same goes for the guitar crippling on "Apostles of Hatred" Heavy fueled Metal, It's like you can still hear the how they put things in orderly, Like the boys really made it. They made my ear Came! They really throw out the "Post" Term out of the way, Graham really did it. I Mean following the success of their past album "As The Valley Of Death Become Us, Our Silver Memories Fade"
Nonetheless, I Cannot say, the album was really worth it. Mr. Graham Lyrics dig down upon the song Theme itself, I Mean really like Hatred was Turning into a Musical Masterpiece, Follow Up with "The Fire Sermon" It's like black metal'ish tune, then go slowly trying to cut your legs off. I mean, Come on? this is the best album I've heard since Neurosis "Honor Found In Decay" . Overall the band really features new stuff, Like really going in to the hard part instead being post-metal'ish. And I must say. This Is The True Identity of "A Storm Of Light" They are rage fueled, Hatred maker, From "Omen", "Disintegrate" , "Lifeless" This is what this band is all about. I'm giving 4.5/5
Red Fang: "An Nightmare Opera, Specializes In Halloween With Whales & Leeches"
"WHALES & LEECHES" by Red Fang
It's been a while since their latest "Murder The Mountains" Red Fang, In my opinion, Was the Most Heavy Rifftastic, Beer-Laden, And Booze Entertaining in both Ends, Coming out from the Heart of Relapse Recordings, The Record it's a frantic Panic Songwriting. But either way, Here's what the dude at Red Fang says on Spin Magazine
2. Blood Like Cream
3. No Hope
4. Crows In Swine
5. Voices Of The Dead
6. Behind The Light
7. Dawn Rising
10. This Animal
11. Every Little Twist
The result of this frenzy is a record that's heavier than their usual brutal boogie: hyper-charged bulldozer riffs, lyrics about a doomed winter and death tolls, and bellowed vocals that recall burly forefathers like Mastodon and Baroness
I in the other Hand, of course Find this thing is Newly To my Ears, And Excitement was in the Air My Friend! For Whales & Leeches, the band worked producer Chris Funk (Decemberists) and mixer Vance Powell (White Stripes, Raconteurs, Kings of Leon). This same team worked on Red Fang’s last album Murder the Mountains. In this Album Red Fang get it Crackin' With the help of guests Mike Scheidt (Yob) and Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession). Okay!, Now let's get Cracking with the Album , The Track start's Off with "DOEN" which stands of Dead Of Endless Nights, Pretty heavy shit track to start off with, reminded me of Matt Pike's Finest Heavy rock Crew "High On Fire" but of course still with Red Fang Flavoured Dna. "Blood Like Cream" it's kinda creepy rock n roll For those Halloween enthusiats out there, This is my favorite track actually, you can hear the track
"No Hope" Were kinda one of those days when you just wanna quit from everyday schedule, It's mainly about Losing Hope, and you were kinda like this street driver crashing to every shit in your life. Pretty Chaotic and Awesome Of Course dude, I Mean c'mon? The guys still have their Flavoured touch to the Music. It's New, And I'm Liking it! "Crows In Swine" Dooming it on with somekinda Ghost-ish Intro from the front, it's like A Food thing actually, like a Pig that could look like a Crow, These guys still playing with food names I Guess. "Voices Of The Dead" & "Behind The Light" like a Combination Life after death, The Dead shout out their voices, behind the light. Like meaning they didn't go to heaven actually, Poor bastard, but Nevertheless It's Cool, Like a Beatdown Stoner Badminton on your Head. Really knocks you off your socks. "Dawn Rising" kinda long Doom, Stoner Anthemic to World Revolution, Slow, Pounding, and Kick ass, kinda get a feel walking down the street feels like a guy with a lot History of Bad ass Reputation. Next Track "Failure" like a Slow moisture horror film. Pretty neat actually, Reminding me somehow of Mastodon. "1516" Now this is very Mastodon Influenced indeed, reminded me of Brent and Bill Guitar lines on Blood And Thunder. Fucking Cool! Grill, Chilling down your Spine down Under, and So does beneath. "This Animal" Reminding me of The Raw Side of Coliseum combining with Red Fang Dna and A bit of Queen Of The Stone Age I think. The last Track "Every Little Twist" like a rock hymn to problems in life I think. Pall Jenkins from Black Heart Procession and Three Mile Pilot also sings on this song. Mainly I Think Red Fang - Whales And Leeches is a Bad Ass tune to start your Halloween day, Creepy, Cool, New, And Awesome. I'm Giving 4/5
Boston Based Heavy Metal/Hardcore League 'Doomriders' comeback with their latest new Album, features Blood, Sweat, Rage, and more Hard than the core. Hands up and fist pump. This is their 3rd Studio Album, after The successful of "Darkness Comes Alive" . Produced by Kurt Ballou, 'Darkness Comes Alive' was most to be told Shawn Bosler of Decibel magazine lauded the band's skilled songwriting, saying that "the stellar songwriting sounds like a well-honed band working together, stretching out the tunes and getting all ninja pyrotechnic on your ass." Now the New album is Out, will it carries on the Success? Let's Find out.
01. Intro (0:36)
02. New Pyramids (3:53)
03. Mankind (2:45)
04. Grand Blood (3:48)
05. Bad Vibes (3:32)
06. Dead Friends (4:03)
07. Death In Heat (5:54)
08. We Live In The Shadows (4:42)
09. Gone To Hell (3:41)
10. Back Taxes (3:07)
11. Father Midnight (5:48)
Now don't get me wrong, you may find something really new to the band Blood vein, More characteristic, More Power. the ones that really pulls me out of my chair and banging my head was 'New Pyramids' they got this kinda like rock n roll shredding going on around it, more like a complicated mixtures of Awesomeness, plus Nate Newton vocals more added up to the track, Making it more Anger fueled, bloddy bad ass. 'Bad Vibes' were kinda Punk/Heavy Metal tune you always hear back in the days, Cool, It's like one of those Jogging soundtrack when suddenly you got chased by someone's dog. It's rockish punk heavy metal, Me Likey!. 'Death In Heat' Track starts of with something you familiar with doom bands, Big ass riff, slo mo's and weed. It's death rides southwards, Hot, and blooded, sweaty, and Riffy. Pounding your ear with those Doomriders based sounding tune, you can hear the Bass line like a Pure rage englightment, 'Back Taxes' it reminds me of Coliseum somehow, one of my favorite band too, Pure heavy punk combine with hardcore heavy metal DNA, what can you get? A Hardcore heavypunk soundtrack, back to the jogging again! 'Mankind' was kinda The Ocean like intro, only it's a bit more than just Tech metal, it still have Doomriders main DNA. not much to say actually. 'Dead Friends' was one of Nate song about their deceased fellow friends, He said, "I didn't want it to be sad, I wanted it to be a celebration. I'm not going to sugar coat it. It's sad. But you can't spend your whole life in grief."About the lose theme of Grand Blood, Newton said, "The record focuses on getting older and dealing with death and all the responsibilities I was shirking most of my life. It's about looking in the mirror and taking responsibility."'Gone To Hell'Is maybe one of the most song that features Nate didn't scream, Nate was singing about grief, pain & death. 'We Live In The Shadows' darkness themed this band, So this is my favorite track, one from the many, it straighten up the Term and the Identity of 'Doomriders' itself. 'Father Midnight' It's like one of those Post-Metal song reminders, headbanging Addict will made this into one of their Main playlist. Interesting. Rage really does much of the album, Blood and pain does the trick. 'Grand Blood' was intruigingly magnificent, complex hardcore heavy metal. shreddin bass tune, axe killing with the guitar, and Blood massacre. I'm giving 'Grand Blood' 3.5/5
Poison Nova - Circle of Woe EP(Lawless Records 2015)
Know God, No Fear, No God, Know Fear
Slamming Adrenaline Pulse
Bleak, void, and hollow. An interpretation of what you've expect from these Melodic/Heavy/Black Metal enthusiast. I've seen them 2 years ago, In 2013, a split album with Bvrtan. 12 Tracks both bands are a promising sample of a magnificent resemblance of Black Metal music. But now, none of that matters. Sure, some tracks in the EP was in the split album but who cares. Misanthropic and devastating charging violently with devoution to bands such as Watain, Immortal, God Dethroned, Mayhem, and Burzum, we could go on for a long stretch of line... Poison Nova alters their combination into a combustion of heavy charging black metal fury. Released by Lawless Records this year 2015, approximately a couple months ago, cover artwork done by Devilreject who've done works bands such as Devildriver, Chimaira, Skeletonwitch, etc. The context of the booklet filled with photographs of skulls by Dinda Advena. Design by Arian A. and layout by Herry S, and.. mostly some page is just darkness mingling around.
Starts off the title track "Circle Of Woe" a cycle of grief, despair and death. You can tell much information about an album just looking from the title and the cover art. Monolithic cries of frenzy and that blast beat drum patterns, is a reminiscent of a classic death and rattle theme, this song is really not the one you should be playing in Easter. "Wounds of Gaza" a tale of how earth is fed up eating blood and flesh created by the living things that lived in there, Exhilirating lurid sounds, shifting chords and all out cries of apathy. It's supposed to a sad song then again I forgot that this a black metal album. It is a sad theme album but how they said it changes the whole thing immediately.
"The Curse of An Everlasting Search" an instrumental ambient noise with guitars, love those mist thin layered vocals hovering mid-air in the song, couldn't really hear it. "Anthem From Black Heart" Traditional black metal blast beat was interesting, but adding the deathmetal pedal beats was amazing. Pulzerising shifting notes and keys neatly put and add on. Not too much or too little. "Silent Wolves Howling Moon" this one is on youtube in 2013. Creeping death and shivers down your spine when you heard this lyrics "The sun will perish with eternal cold damnation" all of the sudden a post apocalyptic place were live in right now. "Pagan Blood" Features in our recent music article "10 Bands you Should Hear Before Hitting Puberty" tapping at number 6.
Please don't really turn all things go black, It's pretty damn hard to read the lyrics.. with all things aside here's an official video from the track "Silent Wolves Howling Moon"
Seringai: "Heavy Slaying Riffs and A Boaring Sound of a Madman" With "Taring"(Fangs)
Seringai: Heavy Metal, Alcohol and By God Holy Name, There's a Lot of Riffs.
Earwax, Earwax Everywhere.
I know, Looks like outdated, This album was released in 2012, so Basicly it was two years ago. but what the hell. I've been knowing these guys since I was in Junior High School. "Serigala Militia" the first Album that I've heard when these guys come Along. 2007 If I'm not mistaken, Bringing Heavy Metal to the masses. And yes, They make a huge impact. One of Indonesia finest Heavy Metal brethern. They already have 3 Albums. The first one is 'High Octane Rock', second 'Serigala Militia', third 'Taring'(Fangs), and Were here to talk about the New album 'Taring' which in English means "Fangs". Seringai is known for their combination between Heavy Metal, Alcohol and a fuck lot of Riffs, Their artwork is basicly include Skulls and Fangs reminding you of Pushead back in the days. A Quartet Heavy Metal Brigade from Jakarta. Combining Stoner Rock hardened riffage and Loud as fuck, Motorhead style. Lemmy would be proud. Arian on Vocals, Ricky on Guitar, Sammy on Bass and Khemod on Drums. Now the Album
The track starts of with 'Canis Dirus' a glimmering resonation of an acoustic guitar. Western stuff, John Wayne on the background. and the Strumming began to blending in. Seeing horizons in the west, basicly this Intro is. And when the guitar solo Kicks in. Everything Changed. "Dilarang Di Bandung" was on set, Pedals, Bass, Riffs, and Boom!. Let me visualize the song. It's like riding a Goddamn Chopper and Shooting bad guys left and Right. A Purely breed of Sonic Heavy Metal right in the Nuts. Earwax guys, Play it on High volume to feel the vibe. The third one is a bit more merrier, a combination of Orange Goblin and Kvelertak, but still having those Riff laden flare. Now the next one is favorite one. "Fett, Sang Pemburu" or you can say "Fett, The Hunter" A tale for the Galaxies Most Bad Ass Bounty Hunter. 'Boba Fett', yes, you heard me said it. A Tribute to the Hunter. It's like a Soundtrack for War this album is. Jesus Christ, there's a lot of riffs dude. I mean a lot.
"Tragedi" and "Infiltrasi" are basicly the Prom Queen in this album, Indulging Headbanging to the masses. Caution this album may cause blowing your earhole. The more higher volume you put does make a Difference. "Gaza" a Instrumental track which filled with Beers and Heavy Rock. You can hear the the pounding, and the Grief. Actually in my Opinion believe this song is About the conflict in Gaza, Palestine. It's been going on for a while tho', but I don't know, it's just my opinion actually. In the middle of the song you can hear when the Acoustic guitar comes in, somehow reminding me of Baroness. Oh such sweet joy this album is. There's a correllation between the sweet part and the heavy part.
There are so many reasons, Why I think this one of Indonesia most Influential band. If you haven't get their album be sure to get it. You live regretting your life. Cheers. I'm giving it (4.0/5.0)
