Mastodon announce "Emperor of Sand"

Cancer, and Sickness. The Emperor's Greatest Curse.

Time Kills us All.

Mastodon returns again! with newly announced album. Straightly grasp the essence of time and death. A couple of days ago, Mastodon release their new studio documentary about their newly made album "Emperor of Time" combining themes from their past albums like Crack The Skye, Remission, Once More Around The Sun and The Hunter soon to be release in March 31st via Reprise Records. In this album these Savannah progressive rock unit sounds different and more personal, since sickness, illness, life and death takes everything away this band stayed true to what they believed. They already released a new single titled "Sultan's Curse" straight off the bat this sounds like Crack The Skye all over again and I can tell you straight forward it sounded amazing. Pulsating and vibrating riffs,  Troy's vocals sounds in a lot of pain. Everyone is now on the hype train! are you?!

"KYLESA" Headlining With Opening Local Acts, ((AUMAN)) & SSSLOTHHH

Epic Views, epic Crowd, And the Breeze of a Cold drippin' Beers.

It was started as a whisper, a voice, an Idea. Who the fuck am I kidding, It's KYLESA, Savannah, Georgia Pyschedelic Sludge Metal Giants. After a long awaited apperance and a couple of Problems, finally we can see these guys playing in Indonesia, after their show In Malaysia, the guys pick two spots to play here. Bandung & Jakarta, I went to the bandung show recently. Taking place at Maja House, Bandung. it's in the hills actually, great view, and it's cold, typical weather in bandung. ((AUMAN)) & SSSLOTHHH were opening for the band, which is, Good, making the show really really heating up. Maternal Disaster, Here to Stay, and Live One was helding the show, these guys handled it Alright indeed. Many people showed up there. As much as I can see, was Members of Heavy Metal Riff laden "Seringai" was there, Duo Doom Fronted "Matiasu" members, "Burgerkill" members, "Komunal" & "Rajasinga" many more actually, shit. KYLESA only bring one of his crew. Jay, he's from Autralia, you can tell by the accent he uses. The story behind it was, While playing in Australia, the band members were living in Jay's House. So yeah, it's was cool. Got a chance to talk to the guy he said that, tonight gonna be an awesome show, I'm sure of it, and you know what, He was right.

SSSLOTHHH

Opening up on the first league, was these guys, Hailing from Bandung, they play Post-Metal/Sludge. They recently released a Debut album entitled  "Phenomenon"(You can see my review of the album right here in Our website), they were slaying indeed man, Fucking bass lines and blasting shit all over the place. Screaming your fucking heads off till your sanity drops off. They opened for the Tragedy show last year in Jakarta actually, no wonder, fucking crazeheads man, I'm a fan of the album indeed. Seeing these guys live were a cool thing to see, After all I'm not much of a Out going person really, but what the fuck, they slayed, I'm happy, end of story.

Next stop, born In the South, ((AUMAN)) was on stage, playing Stoner Preferences combined with Hardcore Indulgment and Doom coursing to it's veins. these guys too released a debut album "Suar Marabahaya"(You can see my review of the Album right here in our website). They heat up the crowd, and fucking throwing hard stones at it. Headbanging Ritual was everywhere man, I got Kung Fu kicked right in my head two times, but I didn't go down easily. Not gonna go down without a Fight. They played 7 Songs and the crowd loves it, I on the other hand start to losing my mind. Sweat and Steam were coming off the place, looks like a fucking Sauna but, The cold breeze of the bandung Air still keep us Intact to our genitals.

KYLESA

Finally, The Last Supper, the Live Entertainment, long awaited show. Visuals were in place, Banners are on check, Sounds are good, and fuck o'rama do we Set The Controls to The Heart of the Sun. They played it loud, Crowd loves it, they fucking swing, the crowd cheers, they scream, the Crowd mosh'd it!, it was like a Connection, we do this and they do that. Playing songs from their recent album "Ultraviolet", "Spiral Shadows" and "Time Will Fuse It's Worth". Carl and Ed(Who's been with them in 6 Weeks and fucking killed it) were blasting off through the Roof like a fucking rocket, Phillip was playing his Frequency toy that NASA stoled from E.T(Sort Of),  Laura were magnetizing, Harmonies, Melodies, and all of the sudden, BOOM! you're moving. Stage Dive were everywhere man, it's like raining but with human on the Menu. the crowd goes wild when songs like 'Tired Climb', 'Quicksand', 'Scapegoat', 'Hollow Severer' were on their ears. it's like People seeing fire for the first time, and danced to it. I mean, Kylesa basicly grew up on me since I was a Freshmen in highschool, it was basicly my soundtrack, it's kinda weird and Wow at the same time to see these guys play.  But anyway, While I was in the pit, I got kung fu kicked again, and yes I fell down, luckily my friend back me up and held me up over again, Bruises and scars, Headache's and Lacerations all over the body, but you know what? It was worth it.

For all the guys who has been pulling off these Incredible show, I fuckin' love you and salute you, for those who come and heat up the place, you guys are awesome, for the ones that kung fu kicked me in the head 3 times, Fuck you, like really. Fuck, the fuckity fuck you(Just Kiddin' bro, haha).

A METALHEAD PROBLEMS: "From Love To Everyday Burden"

"A Metalhead Problems"

 'Day to day Burden'

Most of us has been in this kinda problem. We have up and down's in life. But not as hard as life of a Metalhead. People's judgement become their point of view for knowing who you are. Some says that being a Metalhead is all about the Music, Some prefer the Lifestyle of smoking, drinking, coke, and Substances. People mainly see the darker parts of a metalhead. They intended to made that Into an Image an a description of Metalhead itself. It's like saying when you see a metalhead doing coke, you made your whole point. All metalhead Are a coke addict. Society is now based on things they see, it's kinda hard to be a metalhead in a community that doesn't accept them. It feels like being Alienized. Alone, No body to talk to.

Globalpost.com

The lifestyle of a Metalhead mainly make the whole thing to be a Negative Perspective. Really? In my opinion. Yes. It's hard, to love Metal without the lifestyle. But some people do keep their way straight, like Enjoying the music but don't Really enjoy the lifestlye. In my views it's "If you like the music, Doesn't mean you like the lifestyle too" So for you fuckers who thinks All metalhead do bad shit. Two of my middle fingers are pointing at your pittyful face. Don't made a judgement when you can't prove the whole point. Public Opinion are your most everyday problem mainly. It's hard to say this, but I think most people have been brainwashed to know that metal is just a "Bad People" Community, they see us for what we are. Scary lookin'. A Devil.. That is us in the Public Eyes, The music of satan, satan Worshippers. I mean, what kinda delusional fuck would say that kinda thing? Not all Metalthemed song are about satan. Sometimes they are all about Goverment Conspiracy, Beer, Weed, Love, Fights, and many things. So like I said before. Stop judging us.

Parents? Oh c'mon don't get me started with them... They see me walkin around with my Iron Maiden t-shirt and they start yellin' "Don't you have better clothes to wear?!!" And I was like.. Dude, this is Iron Maiden.. Kinda sucks to hear that kinda words about your favorite heavy metal band. They were are like 'Is All of your t-shirt worship satan?!' and they Suddenly give me a Bible to read on. My god... Why do I have bad Judgements by my own parents. I Mean c'mon, Your Beloved child isn't going to satan cults and sacrifice a baby for satan.

A Metalhead dealing with their fashion, I dunno, many things really does matter, your Metal Accesories does makes you look bad ass. But nevertheles The Hair is kinda like the Core of it. Long hairs, Bearded face, Tattoo on your right arm saying bad ass shit. It's a common metalhead Fashion, Spikes, Mohawks, Dreads, Bald are a metalhead Hairstyle. It's a many thing to say actually. From top to bottom, Starting with T-shirts, Black are the most common sense T-shirts to a Metalhead, Some Accesories like Skull necklace, A ring, pins, Patches on your jackets from side to side, A Bullet buckled Belt, Skinny jeans, black jeans, Ripped jeans. Shoes, Newrock boots, Sneakers, Flip flops, all a common Signature fashion to a Metalhead.

The love parts. Some metalhead are a Lovable person some are really fucking douchebag. Sometimes the love peace, sometimes the hate it. But the most thing I like about a Metalhead is, The Unity. The diversity of the people makes you feel like a United army from many places. Yes, Metalhead loves differences. This what makes me fall in love with this Personality of a metalhead. They're open up to people. They go to concert to meet new people, a Wider network of a metalhead it'self.

Relationships with other people? Yes sometimes a metalhead feels different when they with their loved ones. But sometimes when a Metalhead really loves a person, they dare to go beyond the limits, They mainly wanna have a love life in the movies. Which in my perspective, are okay, because I have a dream too for having that love life. But anyway, Love can really change a metalhead. Their music, From Metallica to The Cranberries, From Slayer to The Corrs, from Pantera to Duran Duran. Their Style becoming a little bit Elegant for their Loved ones, a Little bit Class, trying to look cool and Handsome. Their Mindset, Knowing that the world is a fucked up place, when they met their loved ones, it's like a whole new playground. I ain't fucking around, I felt this kinda feeling to you know. They made you into a whole new kinda person, But as usual, when there is love, There is a Heartbreak. yeah. It's hurtful, Metalhead react to these problems is with a little beer and a long blues night in the bar. Being hangover, trying to figure out how to get the heart problem solved out. Some tried to get their loved back by doing anything they can, Some try to figure out what's wrong with them, In the end all they can do is Crying their heart out by singing Metal. It's the only way to look tough when deep down inside your cryin your ass up. But for some, That isn't just enough.

Exclusive Single Premiere "Schizophrenia" by Black//Hawk

Black//Hawk: God's Cold Hands

All Wounds Aside

If you're thinking this is the American Rock Country Blackhawk, your in the wrong place my friend. Black//Hawk is a riveting hardcore sludge punk dbeat, that lurks beneath the footsteps of Converge, Nails, His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy, and APMD. These young bloods from the south decided to carve their own spark on the history calendar, they will be releasing their Upcoming  EP next year by Rimauman Music and Blacksheep Recordings.

"Schizophrenia" is a hard pounding dbeat drum anthem, the bass are deep, distorted and very very mean. They thrashes powers chords and hell of a buzzsaw of raw beatdown background. They brutaly living up to the true course of an abrasive sludge, and a ramming speed of hardcore punk, so if you dig these unrelenting relentless breathers you better be on guard next year.

Here's "Schizophrenia"

Reports from the field: Grieving The Earth #7

Cheerless & Dejected meets the Lighthearted

Grieving The Earth #7:

It was thursday night, thursday night was taco night for me and I was planning to watch Michael Buble live, but in this case, exceptions can be made. The show was held in Rossi Musik Fatmawati, Grieve Records. 6 bands are lining up in the tray, and people stacking up their merchandise upfront to be sell off. The show starts at 7.20 P.M, there was Dental Surf Combat, Bed Chamber, Barefood, Deathless, Gerram, and headlining in Ora Iso.

Dental Surf Combat was first on the showcase line up, I haven't really know much about this band. This is first time seeing these guys live. They play furious punk rock, with an aggresive Fuck you attitude, lyrics are basicly social issues or is it? Kids On The Move, Nervous Breakdown, Bones Brigade, and blend mixture of Jokes and a rapid harsh vocal linguistic maybe that's what describe how DSC sound like. The funny thing along the show is They play this riff part of the famously Guns & Roses guitar shredding 'Sweet Child O'mine' and Metallica's 'Enter Sandman', fast paced and deliriously entertaining. Upnext was Bed Chamber. I was blown away by how they sound playing live. Joyful, energetic, fun, and soft. Crushing course between Smoking Popes, Best Coast, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Maybe they too crossover a little shoegaze in motion. But nontheless it was really an enjoyable moment. They covered Blink 182 song with a band member from DSC. Weird? heck no!

DSC(Dental Surf Combat)

Bed Chamber

Barefood, an Indie/alternative rock, These trio step their edge up a knotch. I've heard them in their recent E.P, they played their new song from their upcoming album, cranked and a canned rock way tune session, they heat up the crowd with zizzle guitar solo, craze of sour and sweet it's a pretty nice balance if you ask me. "Sullen" breaks out and the audience go nuts, everyone was dancing and wave surfing. An Indie/alternatice rock catchy anthem, songs theme in on out from love to sadness.

BAREFOOD

Deathless was there on cause of their recent new album in the rise. 'Polyarchy', Slow seasoned, drone, ambient and blurry. Deathless once was a one man band, seeing them in 4 format people makes me really nervous, dribbling doom and fritz static feedbacks and noise. Everyone love that fat thick bass sound and the fanned down tempo guitar tune. Plugging almost 45 minutes length Deathless soar their instrumental acid drone/doom wings in Rossi. Gerram, after the sucess of  'Genderang Bencana' album, they spark a little tour in java, ferocios and violent, Gerram lighting up the room like it's 17 august, Heat and steam, Sweat and noise collide into motion, southern hostility sounding off from the guitar, and the no clean singing part. Snarl, growls and spit, are Gerram vitae to attracts the motion. Hardcore punk fury, distorted and deep loud movement.

Gerram

Ora Iso
is a two personnel Experimental/Noise/Post/Industrial band from Brooklyn, New York, Kathleen Delay, and Jason Kudo(Modra). 'Bathcat' a title from their recent record release. Creepy,Throbbing, and exciting, these funeral Industrial duo rivet their way up from the second they play, continously appearing very very deluded, fearsome, and deadly. Heavily distorted sound, a bauhaus - guitar tone and combine effects with the yellow dim light shade makes them even more uneglected to the eyes. If you dig Throbbing Gristle, Godflesh, and Les Rallizes Denudes, then Ora Iso is definetly fit much as character you're meaning to search.
