BLACK//HAWK: SELF TITLED EP(2015)

Southern Young Blood Retaliation

Outwitted and outnumbered

From the minds of a pale law abiding citizen, Black//Hawk puts their aim a little higher. These five southern quartet recently premiered their single teaser for this upcoming S/T EP titled "Schizophrenia". Released by Blacksheep Recordings and Rimauman Music. We think that this album is a bit Muddy, Noise, Feedback, Raw, and Sludge-blatantly face to face dirt en-visioned with a little d-beat/crust punk essence and that abrasive Mike IX Williams vibe vocals, Non-theless being Executive Produced by Farid Amriansyah who put some of his vocals layout in the album, mastered and mixed by Jimmy(AD Studio) and a cover album art by GOORM.

Six gritty back to back tracks, as we said before, it was gritty, raw, and full dirt loathe. Songs like "Doppelgangers" is an apparition of ourselves, there are not a lot of rooms to make variations, but thats okay, I consider this is more like a an aggresive sludge-waste beatdown, Ethical and Thrashers in with manner of contempt not to be interfere with. "Schizophrenia" is the prom Queen on all of this pale and despair themed album, Charging with a buzzsaw of punk rock fury, they bleed their artery and carry on with it. The bass lines in this album represents some nasty shit of mean, it's Intimidating in a weird way after being fused in with the feedback.

"Nervous Breakdown"
No, it's not that Black Flag song. Rhythmic aggresiveness continues flowing ferociously like pack of rabid dogs. It's a predictable tune if you can compete. "III(Beige Menjadi Hitam)" starts launching in with frustrating of scream and lunging in to this sludge ritted in. "Rinela" is all about that bass, deep, distorted, mean and intimidating. Plus those amplified beatdown feedback note descending on the throne. Sure, there is a moment when the brutality stands down a let the moment of soundscaping begin, they restrained their inner beast "Final Ending" is a bit post-ish ambient creepy atmosphere clouding in around you, Misanthropic and pre-emptive.

We're Giving this 3.0/5

Avhath - "Eulogy" EP Exclusive Premiere + Upcoming Tour Dates

Filth from the Night

Fright and Extremity

Sounds from the night, Avhath retains their throne of the dark with this upcoming "Eulogy EP". This is a follow up from their past release EP "Une Generation Perdue" 2 years ago on cassette format. They have just released a single recently in 2014, Christmas themed song "Frightened Teeth". Joyful and Merry. But now, We're not to talk about that. "Eulogy EP" will be released in 7" Format on 18 April Record Store Day 2015 in Indonesia. Features 2 New tracks and 1 Bonus track from their very first single "Catch 22". They also will be kicking off their Java tour with Disfare, yes promoting their upcoming split album together on the road. Tour Dates are down below.

AVHATH - EULOGY 7" PREVIEW

"Eulogy EP" was devastating sonic boom with an epic proportion, Avhath has surely sharpened their blade and pike, they step their game up another level, go deeper and deeper. They point themselves into a higher aim, delirous and amped with power. They didn't let it out to waste. Songs like "Eulogy I" was a facebreaker they never retain that crust punk provokeness. Even though it seems they may a bit shift their way out to another type of control. "Eulogy II" is a pounding downfall. You know something about Black Metal, it's not always about complete destruction. Sometimes it's a deep growth potential of things, rather than just blasting around and destroying anything. There's an Energy in it.

Here's the upcoming Tour Dates with Disfare:

Disfare / Avhath  Java Tour 2015

4/18/2015 – Bandung at Kana Studio
4/19/2015 – Jakarta at Record Store Day 2015 (AM) + Café  Mondo (PM)

Doomriders: "When Blooded Vengeance Prevails, Darkness Rise"

"Grand Blood" by DOOMRIDERS

'Hellish Doomfrontiers Comeback'

Boston Based Heavy Metal/Hardcore League 'Doomriders' comeback with their latest new Album, features Blood, Sweat, Rage, and more Hard than the core. Hands up and fist pump. This is their 3rd Studio Album, after The successful of "Darkness Comes Alive" . Produced by Kurt Ballou, 'Darkness Comes Alive' was most to be told Shawn Bosler of Decibel magazine lauded the band's skilled songwriting, saying that "the stellar songwriting sounds like a well-honed band working together, stretching out the tunes and getting all ninja pyrotechnic on your ass." Now the New album is Out, will it carries on the Success? Let's Find out.

Tracklist:
01. Intro (0:36)
02. New Pyramids (3:53)
03. Mankind (2:45)
04. Grand Blood (3:48)
05. Bad Vibes (3:32)
06. Dead Friends (4:03)
07. Death In Heat (5:54)
08. We Live In The Shadows (4:42)
09. Gone To Hell (3:41)
10. Back Taxes (3:07)
11. Father Midnight (5:48)

Now don't get me wrong, you may find something really new to the band Blood vein, More characteristic, More Power. the ones that really pulls me out of my chair and banging my head was 'New Pyramids' they got this kinda like rock n roll shredding going on around it, more like a complicated mixtures of Awesomeness, plus Nate Newton vocals more added up to the track, Making it more Anger fueled, bloddy bad ass. 'Bad Vibes' were kinda Punk/Heavy Metal tune you always hear back in the days, Cool, It's like one of those Jogging soundtrack when suddenly you got chased by someone's dog. It's rockish punk heavy metal, Me Likey!. 'Death In Heat' Track starts of with something you familiar with doom bands, Big ass riff, slo mo's and weed. It's death rides southwards, Hot, and blooded, sweaty, and Riffy. Pounding your ear with those Doomriders based sounding tune, you can hear the Bass line like a Pure rage englightment, 'Back Taxes' it reminds me of Coliseum somehow, one of my favorite band too, Pure heavy punk combine with hardcore heavy metal DNA, what can you get?  A Hardcore heavypunk  soundtrack, back to the jogging again! 'Mankind' was kinda The Ocean like intro, only it's a bit more than just Tech metal, it still have Doomriders main DNA. not much to say actually. 'Dead Friends' was one of Nate song about their deceased fellow friends, He said, "I didn't want it to be sad, I wanted it to be a celebration. I'm not going to sugar coat it. It's sad. But you can't spend your whole life in grief." About the lose theme of Grand Blood, Newton said, "The record focuses on getting older and dealing with death and all the responsibilities I was shirking most of my life. It's about looking in the mirror and taking responsibility." 'Gone To Hell' Is maybe one of the most song that features Nate didn't scream, Nate was singing about grief, pain & death. 'We Live In The Shadows'  darkness themed this band, So this is my favorite track, one from the many, it straighten up the Term and the Identity of 'Doomriders' itself. 'Father Midnight'  It's like one of those Post-Metal song reminders, headbanging Addict will made this into one of their Main playlist. Interesting. Rage really does much of the album, Blood and pain does the trick. 'Grand Blood' was intruigingly magnificent, complex hardcore heavy metal. shreddin bass tune, axe killing with the guitar, and Blood massacre. I'm giving 'Grand Blood' 3.5/5

Mastodon: Sit Back, Relax, We're going to the Sun, Again.

Mastodon: A Blast of With "Once More 'Round The Sun"

Marvelous, Just Marvelous.

Mastodon, a creature, beast. Bigger than the Mammoth in the Ice Age. It's been a while since we're expecting more than these guys, but let me tell you, this album will surely knocks you off your seats. The Artwork is done by Skinner, I've seen his other works, and I gotta hand it to the guy, It looks hellish as hell. and I liked it. Produce my the one and Only Nick Raskulinecz. In this new album the boys will redeem themselves. After "The Hunter" the boys seems to be trying to make a comeback, and oh boy, what a comeback. I don't mean I hate "The Hunter" tho', there are some tracks that I really liked from that Album, and by far as I see it, Some of "The Hunter" elements are presence in this new album. Sure, yeah each Mastodon albums exists in a different place and Elements, but the main thing is, The guys capable of bringing back a bigger and more powerful works after that. There's a lot of rock going on in this album, so buckle up those seatbelts, it'gonna be a bumpy ride.

The album starts off with "Tread Lightly" a resonance strumming with an acoustic guitar, one of my favorite track also. Troy bass lines in this track is absolutely knocks down hard, A Steel knock off first base this track is. "Open your eyes, Take a Deep breath and return to Life" a glimpse of the lyrics. It seems a Resurrection was at hand, simply trying put off how they manage to make it all whole again. Brent starts shredding everything suddenly pops. "The Motherload" is a edgy confident beat, Brann vocals emerges from the depths, sweet and monstrously perfect, 'This time, This time,  things work out just fine' and my oh my, It surpass the word fine. Entering another dimension, a portal to another time and place, and got trapped in it. Progressive Rock elements were present, and being fused by the existing Psychedelic atmosphere. "High Road" it's one of their single, A Blunt battering ram, full of Sludge Hardened steel Riffs that capable taking down the all of the Madison Square. "Remission" particle was veery dominant in this track, It's a severe hit, a Rigorous triumphant. "Chimes of Midnight" a compelling lucid dreaming psychedelia trip into the solar system, Percussions everywhere, full of riffs that swarms right and tight, "All my heroes, they're all dead" one of Troy lines that I've heard in this track gives me the chills. A formidable stiff Melody. "Asleep In The Deep" yeah, I know, I get the chills too, It kinda reminds us of some Kvelertak'ish notes, Valient Himself and a Keyboardist Isaiah Owens who mainly known for his works with The Mars Volta, Jack White, etc. Take parts in this track. "Feast Your Eyes" a blummering beatdown of riffs and throat roarinng. Might and Melody walking in the same line holding hands mugging people in the streets basicly this track about. Jumping off cliffs and burning down bridges. "Aunt Lisa", the gangs from the The Coathangers and Gary Lindsey participate in this track. This song is like a Psychedelic Nightmare interpretation. Creepy.

"Ember City" this is my favorite track mostly from this album, filled with many Percussions that Leave you jaw dropping, Guitar shredding that makes you going too different Places, and Heavy choruses that looks like hitler is Preaching on stage. It's a snazzy prog rock attack, Sweet and hard at the same time.  Lurking down beneath your spine. You don't like metal? but you'll just love Mastodon. "Halloween", Fast weilding blade runner on the loose trying to beat all the kids in halloween, It's kinda a crime chase session we got here. Striking you on your knee, a Wallop full of Punches, Beatdowns, Riffs that Stronger than Meth, It's Bizzare freakish beat I tell you that. "Diamond In The Witch House" a Sinister song that filled with hatred surge and blasting sonic guitar shredding, 'Neurosis' very own Scott Kelly took part in this track, a Spine-chilling blow and thrust into our ears and hearts. Once again they outdone themselves, couldn't be more happier. They took their listeners into another Dimension, into another Solar System, and There are Creepy stuffs crawling and lurking in space, they aren't afraid to show it.

In this album, they filled it with a brim of a new aspects, It's a menacing destructive desolate anthems from these Atlanta Giants, Mercurial Prog rock, they branches off into a new Element. They've outdone themselves. Am Uplifting lean hard rock beatdown. I'm giving it (4.5/5.0)

A STORM OF LIGHT - NATIONS TO FLAMES

A STORM OF LIGHT :  "Nations To Flames

"A Flame Grilling Metal Indeed"

Yes, yes, I'm so happy. Okay, As you know Josh Graham(Neurosis Visual Collaborator) fronted Doom/Post-Metal/Heavy Metal is back. Pouring some sweat blooded fire reign upon you're ghastly looking ears. And I mean they're really kicking asses right now, these guys really put their back into it.  In this album the Guys really prepared for a full scaled Heavy Grim Like Metal,  it's like getting your head bashed into a Concrete steel. Anyway let's crack on to the album shall we.

"Nations To Flames" Was released via Southern Lord Recordings, Whom we know owned by the notorius Goatsnake Guitarist Mr. Greg Anderson, Nations To Flames was recorded with Travis Kammeyer (OCOAI, Generation Of Vipers) at Fahrenheit Studios in Johnson City, Tennessee, mixed with Matt Bayles (Isis, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Botch, Mastodon) at Red Room Recording in Seattle, Washington and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon. What a line up of people who are working with ASOL in this album, 11-track opus includes Soundgraden’s Kim Thayil and Indian/Nachtmystium’s Will Lindsay on select tracks. My god What can you get more from this album. Okay let's see

A STORM OF LIGHT "NATIONS TO FLAMES"

The track starts off with "Fall" Heavy Metal  Opera was really took it's toll, one of the most favorite track for my prespective, Rage, power, And Riffage Does Prevail. Same goes for the guitar crippling on "Apostles of Hatred" Heavy fueled Metal,  It's like you can still hear the how they put things in orderly, Like the boys really made it. They made my ear Came! They really throw out the "Post" Term out of the way, Graham really did it. I Mean following the success of their past album "As The Valley Of Death Become Us, Our Silver Memories Fade"
Nonetheless, I Cannot say, the album was really worth it. Mr. Graham Lyrics dig down upon the song Theme itself, I Mean really like Hatred was Turning into a Musical Masterpiece, Follow Up with "The Fire Sermon" It's like black metal'ish tune, then go slowly trying to cut your legs off. I mean, Come on? this is the best album I've heard since Neurosis "Honor Found In Decay" . Overall the band really features new stuff, Like really going in to the hard part instead being post-metal'ish. And I must say. This Is The True Identity of "A Storm Of Light" They are rage fueled, Hatred maker, From "Omen", "Disintegrate" , "Lifeless" This is what this band is all about. I'm giving 4.5/5
