Seringai: "Heavy Slaying Riffs and A Boaring Sound of a Madman" With "Taring"(Fangs)

Seringai: Heavy Metal, Alcohol and By God Holy Name, There's a Lot of Riffs.

Earwax, Earwax Everywhere.

I know, Looks like outdated, This album was released in 2012, so Basicly it was two years ago. but what the hell. I've been knowing these guys since I was in Junior High School. "Serigala Militia" the first Album that I've heard when these guys come Along. 2007 If I'm not mistaken, Bringing Heavy Metal to the masses. And yes, They make a huge impact. One of Indonesia finest Heavy Metal brethern. They already have 3 Albums. The first one is 'High Octane Rock', second 'Serigala Militia', third 'Taring'(Fangs), and Were here to talk about the New album 'Taring' which in English means "Fangs". Seringai is known for their combination between Heavy Metal, Alcohol and a fuck lot of Riffs, Their artwork is basicly include Skulls and Fangs reminding you of Pushead back in the days. A Quartet Heavy Metal Brigade from Jakarta. Combining Stoner Rock hardened riffage and Loud as fuck, Motorhead style. Lemmy would be proud. Arian on Vocals, Ricky on Guitar, Sammy on Bass and Khemod on Drums. Now the Album

The track starts of with 'Canis Dirus' a glimmering resonation of an acoustic guitar. Western stuff, John Wayne on the background. and the Strumming began to blending in. Seeing horizons in the west, basicly this Intro is. And when the guitar solo Kicks in. Everything Changed. "Dilarang Di Bandung" was on set, Pedals, Bass, Riffs, and Boom!. Let me visualize the song. It's like riding a Goddamn Chopper and Shooting bad guys left and Right. A Purely breed of Sonic Heavy Metal right in the Nuts. Earwax guys, Play it on High volume to feel the vibe. The third one is a bit more merrier, a combination of Orange Goblin and Kvelertak, but still having those Riff laden flare. Now the next one is favorite one. "Fett, Sang Pemburu" or you can say "Fett, The Hunter" A tale for the Galaxies Most Bad Ass Bounty Hunter. 'Boba Fett', yes, you heard me said it. A Tribute to the Hunter. It's like a Soundtrack for War this album is. Jesus Christ, there's a lot of riffs dude. I mean a lot.

"Tragedi" and "Infiltrasi" are basicly the Prom Queen in this album, Indulging Headbanging to the masses. Caution this album may cause blowing your earhole. The more higher volume you put does make a Difference. "Gaza" a Instrumental track which filled with Beers and Heavy Rock. You can hear the the pounding, and the Grief. Actually in my Opinion believe this song is About the conflict in Gaza, Palestine. It's been going on for a while tho', but I don't know, it's just my opinion actually. In the middle of the song you can hear when the Acoustic guitar comes in, somehow reminding me of Baroness. Oh such sweet joy this album is. There's a correllation between the sweet part and the heavy part.

There are so many reasons, Why I think this one of Indonesia most Influential band. If you haven't get their album be sure to get it. You live regretting your life. Cheers. I'm giving it (4.0/5.0)

RUSSIAN CIRCLES: "MEMORIAL" CONTEMPLATING ATMOSPHERIC INTENSITY

Russian Circles: "Memorial" Contemplating Atmospheric Intensity.

- Post-Metal Heavyweights Perseverance

Fifth Studio Album from American Post-Metal Heavyweights "Russian Circles" entitled "Memorial" released on 29th October 2013 via Sargent House. Still produced by Brandon Curtis(The Secret Machines, Interpol) the guy who's behind two Russian Circles previous album "Empross"(2011) and "Geneva"(2009). Russian Circles is maybe now is the Crown jewel of Post-Metal, apart from many other alike we used to know such as Cult Of Luna, some might say The Ocean, Intronaut, and Others will definetly still rooting for Isis. Don't get me wrong, I love Isis dude. Looks like my First Love all I can say. Russian Circles - Memorial develop a signature of Polarized patterns in Music. Some we can see from their Recent news about this album. The guys collaborated with The majestic Beauty Ms. Chelsea Wolfe. Whom works I find very Intruiging indeed.

Russian Circles sounds like Russian Circles, they have their own unique way of reproduce great Music through Crushing guitars sounds, twist and turns. They have those Element of being knowingly Beastly Guitars, Roaring basslines, Such as "Deficit" starts off with a Pounding contraction on the Ear. Those shredding Groovy dark side arms, Moving elegantly through what the Russian Circles we Know best. Some will find this Shocking for just hearing this the first time like saying, 'Dude For Real?!!' I myself fell in love with every bits and pieces, Fills up to my needs of Post-Metal supper. "1777" is maybe one of my most favorite track, play it slow, then go off crashing through a wall, Breaking point goes so Loud is making my ear bleeds Water, yes, It's making my ear wet. The typical Russian Circles signature moves. Full cresendo and goes menacing through a thick Brick. Powerful yet majestic. Love Mike Sullivan drum sounds, the sound really goes down to my inner thoughts, Geneva in their prime moments, And Brian Cook Pallbearing Bass Tracks in Empross loud breaking my Intesity boundaries, Very bad ass. Dave Turncrantz shredding Pale Axe weilder is more than we come to Imagine, Fucking Brilliant Indeed!. "Lebaron"  sounds like a menacing Polar bear really, comes to my mind as an Imagination a polar bear eating fresh penguin flesh, Crushing deliberately Anxiety energy. Full of Energy "Burial" is Molded with. Crippling your inner thoughts with those Bad Ass Bass lines dude, I mean. How awesome is that. "Ethel" ah, reminds me Of Malko, Mladek and Micah indeed, Those Empross and Geneva days, Electronic tingling on the side of your ear. Loudness more Subdued in this part actually, but the Song? There more than Excellent I can say. "Memorial" Their collaboration with one of the artist from Sargent House, Yes, Ms. Chelsea Wolfe, Still Perfect. Russian Circles may be a Instrumental stuff from the start but they do good too When Vocals included. This album is amazingly Beautiful, I'm giving (4.5/5)

WARMOUTH X CLOUDBURST: Nausea.. Sickens In..(Split Album, 2014)

WARMOUTH X CLOUDBURST: Nausea, Sickness and Death...

Death Dealers!!

Both from the same neigborhood, Yogyakarta. having the same taste of growing up in a hardcore punk scene. This split album contains screaming bloody gore, "Warmouth" is a three-piece vicious, dark, chaotic, hardcore punk reinventing Nails, Entombed, and things your parents maybe don't know. "Cloudburst" a four man metallic grind hardcore punk, that shove a hot steel up your ass, Combines a shard of Pantera and Alpinist on course. Released by Unleash Records. This split album consists in 5 tracks. Both bands are a growing pack of wolves, both of them have just released a demo that you can stream on their bandcamp.

The tracks starts off with Warmouth 'Changing Lanes' it's a 42 second rushing d-beat power, end's with a noise of bang that continues to "Collapsing Lungs" the breathing shifting tune of the guitar, the vocals of Snarl, growl, scream, and death metal riveting through your inner ear organs. Cathartic and darkly excruciating that's "No Salvation". They glimpse out the dark anthemic brace up mode, Very enjoyable.

Cloudburst' steps in 'Warming Cabinet' it's this metallic sludge riff, a background of drums hitting and a changing of theme is a need. This is a well plotted complex sensible punk rock sound. Violent and rude. 'Fragments' a burst and a spark of d-beat pushing rough through the walls, you can hear that drum filling exchange when the riff shreds in, Sadness and Frustration echoes in around the vocals. Warmly entertaining.

This album is wildly suprising and nice, if you are a fan of hardcore punk, d-beat. I recommend you buy this album and listen to it while on a traffic jam, it'll warm up and start you day nicely. You can get the split album right here:

Here's some sample tracks for you to listen, go to their bandcamp to hear more:

I'm giving this album,

3.8/5

VROSK: "WORLD COLLAPSE/METRUMTANSAMAR" DEMO

V R O S K: "Doom Sludge Drone Sensation After First Bite"

"Furious Doom On, Sludge On Term This Band is"

Hailing from bandung, these guys Condemned theirselves with Drone/Doom/Slugde DNA. Reminded us that there is still a Hell beneath our rugged foot. "World Collapse/Metrum Tan Samar"  Demo Feature's 4 Track Of Drone Sludge Bloodgeoning  Here's the Track list & The boys who are behind Vrosk:

VROSK
  • World Collapse
  • Metrum Tan Samar
  • Mammoath
  • Untitled

V R O S K

Photos By: Maternal Disaster
  • AGAN AHSAN(VOICE)
  • ASHARI PANJI(DRUMS)
  • AOKI SETIAWAN(VISUALS)
  • DEATHLESS RAMZ(GUITARS)
  • FIRMAN OKTAVIAWAN(GUITAR, BASS)

Now let's see how the music is actually, the band really knocked their way out, the 1st track 'World Collapse' Is a full on description how our beloved world collapse, destroyed, and the guys illustrate how it would be, A Drone racketting around earholes really gets to you somehow 9 minutes of lone longing in demolishing your inner spirit within, Vrosk Endure the world destruction and set off to do some more damage. "Metrum Tan Samar" was sludge beating Doom Ignition to world annihilation. it is slow, crippling your feet within, really a beatdown amongst the living, you can't really hear how it turns out actually, I don't know. It sounded so Dark, and damp. 'Mammoath' really describe like a living creature who walks the earth in loneliness, like a dark walking Mammoth who survived the aftermath, it's slow and pounding, remind you somehow of Lee Dorian's 'Cathedral' . They don't really knock the door when to enter, Vrosk break the fucking door and blast your arse with a full on Sludge Doom Shotgun shells, simply Staggering indeed. 'Untitled' sounds like an emptiness glows within the dark reign forest, like a creature lurking behind the bushes, trees, trying to hunt down those who survived the post-apocalypse. Hardcore like beat combined with slow doom riffage really. Some musical influences are too being inserted in this dark themed band, some like Post-rock'ish tune sometime you heard in the track, mainly all the track are all instrumental. A Plus for this themed destruction Producers. I'm giving 3.5/5

SANDRIDER: "GODHEAD" IS RIFF FUELED AND PUMMELING DOWN UNDER!

SANDRIDER: "GODHEAD" IS RIFF FUELED & PUMMELING DOWN UNDER

It's Fucking Sick!

Rock Panache, Thrash Apocalyptic, Sandrider Is a band really not to be underestimated with, Straight from the Lineage of the Mighty AKIMBO itself, Put us in the Realm between Two worlds Sludge Metal and Stoner. Straight up from Seattle, these guys have been on the radar of my Favorite Stoner/Sludge Metal Band, On the bloodlines Nirvana, Melvins and Soundgarden molded into one. Jon Weisnewski(Guitarist) and Nat Damn(Drummer) was in the cutthroat Heavweight Champions 'Akimbo', While the Bassist Jesse Roberts was in a Prog Punk The Ruby Doe & Kid Kongo Powers. Sandrider itself already evolve themselves from their previous album back in 2011, in this album they've become More energetic, exploring, and lastly becoming more Awesome, so let's get to bits and tits shall we.

Still in the hands of Matt Bayles(Isis, Mastodon, The Sword, Tragedy), "Godhead" is a Gun blazing Northstar in the Stoner Rock world. Going out via Good To Die Records, these guys are unfuckable, Not to mention they have their own Unique way to be bad asses. So the album was made after Akimbo announce it's break up, so the guys focused on making 2nd Sandrider album. I must say this album is really Need to be in a Car Chase Movie, I mean listen to "Gorgon" It's fucking ripping your ears of your head, blasting all around like a Clint Eastwood shit was starting to get down on the block, and It's suddenly becoming my favorite album of the year. Heck yeah! why not? I mean "Ruiner" was Pounding, Stomps, Claps, Sensitively making my earbuds Bleeding. Eargasm was achieved. "Scalpel" oh don't get me started with that. That there is a master piece, My favorite track. Groove down with the beat. Vocal harmonies was Ill-fitting, making me flirting with my music stereo actually. "Godhead" Really the progressions of the new era of Bad Asses, Awesomeness, I can say Portland, Oregon very own Red Fang should have a Split album with this guys. Splitting my head in half with this Godhead shit. Powerful Indeed. I'm Giving (4.5/5)

Jesu Amazing Comeback With "Everyday I Get Closer To The Light From Which I Came"

'Jesu Comeback With Soulgazing Post-Rock'ish Sounds'

Jesu Beautifully Comeback

Tracklist:
1. Homesick
2. Comforter
3. Everyday
4. The Great Leveller
5. Grey Is The Colour

The album will be released on 23 September 2013 Via Avalanche Recordings, Magnificent comeback, Godflesh main man Justin K. Broadrick completely making this album into my personal favorite lovable Everyday music Album, somehow it's reminded me of Anathema, don't know why. But after Jesu "Ascension" where in that album the full Post-Metal term was affliated so much, I got so tired. Then after I heard Jesu new Album "Every Day I Get Closer To The Light From Which I Came In" I was staggered. I love it, so much, It completely wins over me after I heard the Album. Completely I thought it was just another hard pounding music to the ear. But no, Jesu resides that, and tries to create more than just a simple music.

Jesu

The new album feature's Dub, Electronic, and Post Punk in it, which is making it more colourful, Just listen to one of it's samples "Homesick" It was like always i said, mostly Excellent. It brings you joyous feeling in some kind of midst of weather, lies beneath a thick rugged guitar was tuned along. While in the 2nd "Comforter" track feature's Electronic kinda like Sigur Ros'ish which making me loving this album much more.  It is so calm, and then turns into kinda like Battle themed war stories.Shining armor and Heroes risen from the ashes. This track really does have a mean, to comfort, and yes! it does comfort me along hearing this track. Well I found out in Fact Mag he album’s fourth track, the 17-minute ‘The Great Leveller’, is the only one to feature a player besides Broadrick – Nicola Manzan commands a one-person orchestra of strings. According to the album’s press release, “the song lyrically deals with the existential drain that is early parenthood, since Justin became a father for the first time just before beginning work on this LP” But I Still love it, I Adore that themed song. It welcomes me so much in my head. I Love it those atmospheric kinda like sad song. I was kinda soft person for this kinda song. and suddenly just fell in love with it. Overall through all the track I was more in love in this album than my love for my passion in sleeping. I'm giving this album a 4.5/5 , 'Grey is The Colour' Was a magnificent 4-Minute track, It's my favorite though besides the first track of the album.
